High Country Gems and Minerals, in beautiful downtown Glenwood Springs has been entertaining children of all ages for close to 40 years. Lee and Peggy Maestas bought the rock shop in 1997. Their children were practically raised in the shop! Returning customers often exclaim "I'm so glad this store is still here!"
Matt and Anita MacQueen bought the rock shop in 1997. Their children were raised here too! Matt & Anita hired Patti in 2000, where she was cheerfully employed for 8 years--then Matt blessed her with the opportunity of a lifetime--to buy the rock shop! Many thanks to the whole MacQueen clan who continue to be bright lights in my life!
